Los Angeles: On Friday, October 26, 2001, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Chief of Police Bernard C. Parks and Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Superintendent Roy Romer will meet with a group of school children from Plasencia Elementary School. The purpose of the meeting is to advise the children on precautionary measures that should me taken, while trick-or-treating during the Halloween period. Additionally, Superintendent Romer and Chief Parks will answer questions from the children and address issues, concerns and/or fears regarding events following the September 11th terrorist attacks on our nation.
