Woman Stabbed to Death in the Hallway of Her Apartment Building

WOMAN STABBED TO DEATH IN THE HALLWAY OF HER APARTMENT BUILDING

On Tuesday, February 2, 2000, at 10:55 p.m., Rampart Patrol Officers responded to an "Ambulance Cutting" radio call in the 200 block of South Kenmore Avenue, Los Angeles. Upon the officers arrival, they located victim Xochitl Magaly Ramos, an 18 year-old, female, Hispanic, lying in the hallway of the apartment building. The victim was bleeding from apparent stab wounds. Responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Investigators revealed that the victim, who lived at the complex, informed her mother that she was to meet a friend in the hallway of the building. The suspect stabbed the victim and fled the location on foot. The motive for the stabbing has not been established.

The suspect is a male, Hispanic, 5 feet 6inches to 5 feet 7inches tall; weighing 200 pounds; with short, dark hair; a medium to dark complexion; 22 to 23 years of age.
