"Woman Found Dead in a Blanket"

Westlake – Rampart Homicide Detectives are investigating the suspicious circumstance death of a female victim.

The victim was located wrapped in blankets by the driveway embankment of the apartment building located at 508 South Coronado Street. Officers were called to the location on June 5, 2000 at approximately 4:00 p.m. The residents of the building were complaining of a foul odor. The responding officers located the victim in the brush. The victim was in advance state of decomposition.

The Coroner’s Office will conduct a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death. Identity of the victim is not available at this time.
