"Thirty-eight Arrested During Rampart Demonstration"

Los Angeles: On August 16, 2000, at approximately 11:30 AM, a protest march/demonstration took place in the Rampart area of Los Angeles. The march culminated in front of Rampart Community Police Station, located at 2710 W Temple Street.

At one point, the crowd of approximately 500 completely blocked the entrance to the police station, denying access to those individuals with legitimate needs for police services.
