"Murder Weapon Left Behind at Scene of Stabbing"

Los Angeles – On Saturday, October 21, 2000, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Rampart Area police officers and paramedics responded to a radio call of an "Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Ambulance Cutting" in the 500 block of N. Normandie Avenue. As the officers and rescue personnel arrived to the apartment in question, they discovered a 55 to 65 year-old- male Caucasian who had been stabbed repeatedly. Responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead, and a crime scene was established. The murder weapon was discovered at scene and is being held as evidence.

The motive for this stabbing remains unknown. The suspect or suspects involved in this murder are outstanding. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
