Detectives Seek the Public’s Assistance in Solving a Triple Murder NR18203ti

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying murder suspects.

On July 5, 2018, around 12:30 a.m., multiple suspects approached a family celebrating 4th of July near the 1600 block of West 2nd Street. The suspects opened fire at the family killing three, which included a woman who was approximately 5 months pregnant. Three additional people were shot, one who was shielding her young daughter from the multitude of gunfire.

We are asking for the public’s help in identifying these dangerous people who indiscriminately fired into a group, which included children celebrating the holiday. We believe there were people that witnessed this shooting and are asking them to please help identify these people that committed this heinous crime. Detectives believe this was a gang related killing.

The victims are 19-year-old Junior Salinas, his 18-year-old girlfriend Abril Onofre, who was also five months pregnant and an 18-year-old family friend, Ruben Alcantara. All of them are survived by family that would like to have some closure by identifying theses suspects and are asking for the public’s help.
