Two Bodies Discovered Inside a Burning Vehicle

Los Angeles: North Hollywood Homicide Detectives Shaw and Anderson are investigating the shooting death of Michael Tardio, 35 years of age, of Los Angeles, and an unidentified White male.
On September 2, 2002 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Los Angeles City Fire and police personnel responded to a vehicle fire in the 11600 block of Woodbridge Street in Studio City. Upon arrival, they discovered a black, 2001 model Mercedes SUV parked on the South curb. The vehicle was on fire but was quickly extinguished. Closer examination revealed two dead bodies inside, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. It appears the two individuals had been shot at the above location and the suspect or suspects attempted to burn the vehicle in an effort to destroy any evidence.
