"LAPD Arrests One of Its Own on Narcotics Charges"

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at approximately 3:00 p.m., Los Angeles Police Department Officer Heather Sincock (25 years old, three years with the Department) was arrested by members of the Los Angeles Police Department, while off-duty, for Possession and Manufacturing of Controlled Substances.
Following the receipt of information from sources that Heather Sincock was involved in illegal narcotics usage, the Department launched an investigation into this matter. At the time that the Department received the information, Sincock, though assigned to Rampart Community Police Station, was on "non-working" status. On August 30, 2002, Sincock was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, a misdemeanor, and was booked at Jail Division. She posted bail.
Following her arrest, a search warrant for Sincock’s vehicle and residence was secured. A search of the vehicle and residence revealed narcotics, narcotic paraphernalia and other chemicals, leading the investigators to believe that Sincock was possibly involved in the manufacturing of illegal drugs. Based on this information, LAPD investigators secured a warrant for Sincock’s arrest and on September 4, 2002, at approximately 3:00 p.m., arrested Heather Sincock in the City of Hermosa Beach. Sincock was booked at LAPD Jail Division and is currently being held on $600,000.00 bail.
The investigation continues.
