LAPD Detectives Give Safety Tips

Press Conference to alert the public of the recent theft and burglaries from motor vehicles and offer simple but effective tips on how to avoid becoming a victim.

WHY:    
Burglaries/ theft from motor vehicles and license plate theft continue to present a concern for citizens of Rampart communities and through-out the city.  Approximately 2600 cars are broken into each month in Los Angeles.  Most of these crimes could have been avoided if the vehicle owners would take certain precautionary steps to safe guard their valuables.

Rampart Auto and Burglary Detectives will provide valuable crime prevention tips and safety measures that can be exercised by community members in order to protect their property.  

Spanish and Korean speaking officers will be available to answer questions.
