Detectives Investigate a Homicide

Los Angeles: LAPD detectives are investigating the shooting death of 32-year-old James Lane, a male Black and resident of Los Angeles.

On Tuesday morning, June 28, 2005, at about 11:19 a.m., Lane was walking on Washington Boulevard from Normandie Avenue. A man approached Lane and shot him. The suspect then left the location with two other men in a Blue GMC Suburban with paper plates. They were last seen driving southbound Normandie Avenue.

Mr. Lane was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect #1 is described as a male Black, early 20’s, cornrow hairstyle, 5’9″, 160 to 170 pounds, light T-shirt, dark pants. Suspect #2 is described as a male Black, 5’10”, 160 to 170 pounds, early twenties, bald head, dark shirt and dark pants. Suspect #3 is described as male Black, 5’11”, 180 pounds, early twenties, baldhead, dark T-shirt.
