Shooting Victim Killed While Riding His Bicycle

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting death of 18-year-old Ricardo Santiago.

On Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 10:20 a.m., Ricardo Santiago was riding his bicycle southbound on Du Ray Place at Blackwelder Street, when a male Black walked towards him and shot an unknown type handgun multiple times at close range.  The suspect then ran away from the scene, leaving Santiago in the middle of the roadway.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to Du Ray Place at Blackwelder Street where Santiago was pronounced dead.
