Presentation of Awards at Southwest Community Beautification Event

WHY:
While supporting a Community Beautification, LAPD Southwest Area will be presenting a number of civilian gang intervention workers, their manager and a representative of the Target Corporation with certificates of appreciation from the chief’s office for their support of the department’s efforts in regards to this year’s Kingdom Day Parade.  Also present will be Larry Grant, the organizer of the original Kingdom Day Parade, who will be presenting awards of his own to officers he has chosen to honor for their support of this year’s parade on January 17, 2011.
