Figueroa Street between 41st Street and 40th Place

The Crime Task Force – Motor Strike Team
South Traffic Officers

Why:
Despite the tireless efforts of thousands of advocates and law enforcement officers alike, 1574 deaths and 30805 injuries were the result of impaired driving incidents in California for year ending 2006. This operation will be conducted in an effort to reduce the incident of injuries, death, and property damage associated with the intoxicated drivers.

The checkpoint will serve to remind the community of the dangers of drinking and driving and the importance of using designated drivers.
