Shooting Investigation in Panorama City

Panorama City: On Saturday, June 9, 2001, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Van Nuys Area Community Police Station patrol officers responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Shots Fired call at 7900 block of Willis Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers, found Eric Delgado, a male, Hispanic, 18 years of age, and a resident of Panorama City, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Delgado was subsequently transported to an area Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. It is believed that the crime is gang related; however, the motive has not yet been established.
The suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
