Van Nuys Detectives Arrest Two Men on Multiple Elder Abuse Charges NR14252dm

Van Nuys:   Detectives from the Van Nuys Division had received numerous complaints from elderly victims, throughout Los Angeles County, regarding Eldad Syton posing as a contractor.  Syton presented himself as the owner and operator of 911 Air care, American Pest Control, American Roof Cleaning, USA Pest Control and Pacific Air Care. Syton was an unlicensed contractor, who targeted elderly victims and charged them thousands of dollars for extermination and unnecessary repairs on their home.  The investigation also revealed a second suspect, Yair Zilberman who assisted Syton in committing these crimes. 

On June 17, 2014, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed 42 felony counts, including Burglary, Forgery and Grand Theft from an elder or dependent adult.  A Felony warrant was issued for Syton with bail set at $1,370,000.  A Felony warrant was also issued for Zilberman with a bail of $1,250,000. 

On June 28, 2014, Syton was taken into custody at his home in the 12000 block of Emelita Street in Valley Village.  Syton is a 32-year-old White male who stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds.  On July 1, 2014, Zilberman was taken into custody in a parking lot at Tyrone and Victory Blvd in Van Nuys.  Zilberman is a 30-year-old White male who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds.
