Man Found Shot to Death NR15350rmh

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department and Van Nuys Division Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of 19 year old Martinez.

On October 10, 2015, around 10:50 p.m., Van Nuys patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting in the 6000 block of Kester Avenue. When officers arrived, they found the victim, later identified as George Louis Martinez Jr., lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.

An unknown male Hispanic was seen on the street during the time of the shooting but fled the area before the officers arrived.

The motive of this incident is unknown and the weapon used is outstanding. The investigation is ongoing.
