Roommate Arrested for Murder

Los Angeles: On Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at approximately 10:30 p.m., LAPD West Los Angeles Area Police Officers responded to a disturbance call on the 1400 block of Wellesley Avenue. The location is a residence building that consists of standard and assisted living apartments. Inside one of the apartments, officers found 46 year-old Los Angeles resident Romeo Williams, dead, an apparent victim of a homicide.
On Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at approximately 10:30 p.m., LAPD West Los Angeles Area Police Officers responded to a disturbance call on the 1400 block of Wellesley Avenue. The location is a residence building that consists of standard and assisted living apartments. Inside one of the apartments, officers found 46 year-old Los Angeles resident Romeo Williams, dead, an apparent victim of a homicide.
Upon further investigation, officers arrested the victim’s roommate, 28 year-old Mathew Gans and booked him for First Degree Murder. Gans is being held at the Los Angeles Men’s Central Jail pending a preliminary hearing with no bail.
