Hit and Run Leaves Victim Seriously Injured NR20210ll

West Los Angeles Division: Los
Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division Detectives are
asking for the public’s help in providing any information that
would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved
in a hit and run collision.

On Thursday, July 30, 2020, around 11:20 p.m., a black Audi was
traveling northbound on National Boulevard negotiating a left turn
to Manning Avenue and collided with the victim who was riding a
scooter southbound on National Boulevard. The victim survived and
sustained serious injuries. The driver of the Audi fled the scene
without identifying himself or herself and did not render aid to
the victim, as required by law.

Drivers are reminded to drive at a safe speed and if you become
involved in a collision, you should pull over and stop as soon as
it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the
scene to identify yourself.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles
Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program
Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community
members who provide information leading to the offender’s
identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution
through a civil compromise.
