Stop the Violence Community Picnic

Where:
Reseda Park – North, Kittridge St. and Etiwanda Ave.
Reseda: On Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at 6:00 P.M., West Valley Area Community Police Station and the Citywide Nuisance Abatement Program will host the Reseda Block Project "Stop the Violence" picnic. The event will be held at Reseda Park-North, 18400 Kittridge Street, at the corner of Kittridge Street and Etiwanda Avenue.
Los Angeles Police Chief Bernard C. Parks, Commander Valentino Paniccia, Acting Commanding officer of Operations-Valley Bureau and West Valley Area Community Police Station Captain Jim Cansler, will attend the event and speak with community members regarding issues of concern in the area. City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo and Councilmember Dennis Zine will also be speaking with those in attendance.
Through these community picnics, the hard working, law-abiding residents within the selected neighborhoods can meet their local police officers and officials and realize a sense of empowerment in our mutual efforts to help combat and reduce the fear and incidence of crime.
The event will feature free food, live entertainment, local support groups, LAPD Explorers, Communications Division Representatives, as well as many other entities.
